Not On Our Watch: Protecting
Zululand’s Wildlife
A Legacy of Land, People, and Wildlife

Protecting the Rhinos
Every rhino saved is a victory for the future. At Somkhanda, we stand as guardians of one of Africa’s most endangered giants, ensuring black and white rhinos still roam free for generations to come.

Elephant Conservation
Elephants carry the memory of Africa in every step. By protecting them, we preserve not only a species but also the wisdom and wonder they represent.

Lion Conservation
The roar of a lion belongs to Africa’s soul. We protect these powerful predators, balancing ecosystems and keeping the wild alive with every heartbeat of the pride.
Previously Protected the African
Wild Dog
Africa’s painted wolves are among the most endangered carnivores on Earth. Together, we fight to ensure their unique calls and pack bonds are never silenced.

Community Initiatives
Conservation without community is incomplete. By creating jobs, education, and opportunities, Somkhanda empowers the Gumbi people to protect the land they reclaimed, turning heritage into hope
